Life is a journey, not a race. Stress and depression management in life you have to face some stressful situations that will eventually make you depressed and stressed. So what is it? A state of mind? Stress is a feeling of danger and pain. In other words, there’s usually anxiety about something, and we tend to feel anxious about the things we do, even if we haven’t done anything bad. According to experts in psychology, there can be different types of stress:
General or everyday stress
We are experiencing any kind of pressure on a particular day. It can result from work, family demands, and financial problems. This type of stress is usually not serious. Most people usually only experience high levels of stress when they are facing a difficult event or a change in routine. For example: When I'm pregnant, my life changed dramatically in the last few months. I have now to start looking after my child and I'm starting to get tired from the extra responsibilities. On the one hand, this type of stress can make us feel exhausted and depressed.
Emotional Anxiety
You probably use the term emotional now because when you're feeling tense and nervous. These feelings are typically caused by stress. They come as results in negative emotions such as fear. To avoid being frightened, most people try to put their minds into more positive thoughts. In the end, though, it often fails. It's important to learn how to manage your emotions, so avoid the negative ones. Your heart can beat faster than your brain, but your stomach can't handle that much gas. If you don't know where to turn, your gut will keep telling you something. That's why you need to develop good self-awareness so that you can manage your own mental health. We can choose good self-awareness strategies like meditation or yoga. For example: Instead of giving yourself an angry message or trying to give yourself some excuses, try to think positive thoughts. Even when it's easy to get excited when you see someone else as successful. The thing is, to be happy and confident; you have to forget your worries about tomorrow or the future.
Social phobia is basically saying no to all social contacts and activities. People with social phobia usually prefer to stay away from crowds and activities, which might harm them physically. Some studies indicate that social phobia may be related to a person's psychological well-being and biological predispositions.
Physical Symptoms of Depression
People who are suffering from a problem, injury, or illness may have a sudden drop in energy and body pains. If you are suffering from stress and the situation of having difficulty breathing or are afraid of walking along the street, the first thing that you should do is to look for someone or some source of help. Here everything depends on the severity of the health issue.
The second thing could be just sitting down and thinking about possible solutions. Make a list of priorities and try to plan things accordingly. Sometimes being depressed means you don’t want to do anything. Maybe, in fact, that's how much you hate this situation. But you have to do what you have to do not to get depressed.
The third type of feeling is sadness. Sadness is a little bit more serious than sadness, but the main difference lies in its intensity. Sadness and loneliness are totally different states of being. Someone who is depressed is usually feeling lonely and unhappy. Usually, someone becomes sad because the situation makes him/her feel isolated.
Treatment and management
As a rule, you have to deal with your feelings by yourself, but you shouldn't isolate yourself. Only the medical workers will understand what exactly you are struggling with.
